This fresh fish inspired us to create so many recipes, but we opted for a healthy protein bowl with an Asian fusion. This recipes is easy to make and packed with flavor. Order your NY Steelhead today and try out this recipe for yourself!

Ingredients:

  • Fresh New York Hudson Valley Steelhead

  • Basmati Rice

  • Carrots

  • Radish

  • Cucumber

  • Shitake Mushrooms

  • Bibb Lettuce

  • Soy Sauce or Coconut Aminos

  • Sesame Oil

  • Red Pepper Flakes

  • Rice Wine Vinegar

  • Ginger

  • Lemons

  • Optional: Sesame Seeds or Everything Bagel Seasoning

Recipe:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F

  2. Prep your marinade: Combine equal parts Rice Wine Vinegar, Sesame Oil, and Soy Sauce/Coconut Aminos. As 1/2 Tbsp ground Ginger. Let your filet of Steelhead marinade in the sauce until you are ready to bake.

  3. Either thinly slice or peel your Carrots, Cucumbers and Radishes to create a slaw. Toss with a dash of Rice Wine Vinegar and Sesame Oil.

  4. Sauteed your Mushrooms in a pan with a dash of Sesame Oil and 1 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes.

  5. Lay your Steelhead on a pan atop sliced lemon, skin-side down. If you would like, sprinkle your filet with Everything Bagel Seasoning or Sesame Seeds.

  6. Bake until fully cooked. If you like the top slightly burnt, then take it out of the oven a few minutes before complete and sear it in a pan.

  7. Combine all of your prepped food in a bowl and enjoy! Add additional Coconut Aminos or Everything Bagel Seasoning for additional flavor!
