Saffron Pasta
Let’s be real, pasta is easy to cook…it’s our go-to meal when we are craving a fulling meal but don’t have much time or many ingredients. But, plain pasta is pretty boring, so we thought up a super easy and simple recipe that does not lack in flavor.
INGREDIENTS
1 Pound Campanelle Pasta
3-4 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 Tbsp Butter
2 Cloves of Garlic
Salt and Pepper
10-16 Strands of Saffron
Optional: Parmesan
INSTRUCTIONS
Cook pasta according to instructions on the box
In a large frying pan, sautee Olive Oil, Butter, and minced garlic
Grind up Saffron in a pistol and mortar. If you don’t have one, grind in a small bowl with the top of the handle of a wooden spoon
Add powdered saffron to pan and add in a few additional un-grounded strands
Add in cooked pasta and sautee
Add salt and pepper to taste
Enjoy with some freshly grated cheese!
