Saffron Pasta

Simple, Easy + Quick Pasta with a flavorful twist

Let’s be real, pasta is easy to cook…it’s our go-to meal when we are craving a fulling meal but don’t have much time or many ingredients. But, plain pasta is pretty boring, so we thought up a super easy and simple recipe that does not lack in flavor.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Pound Campanelle Pasta

  • 3-4 Tbsp Olive Oil

  • 2 Tbsp Butter

  • 2 Cloves of Garlic

  • Salt and Pepper

  • 10-16 Strands of Saffron

  • Optional: Parmesan

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cook pasta according to instructions on the box

  2. In a large frying pan, sautee Olive Oil, Butter, and minced garlic

  3. Grind up Saffron in a pistol and mortar. If you don’t have one, grind in a small bowl with the top of the handle of a wooden spoon 

  4. Add powdered saffron to pan and add in a few additional un-grounded strands

  5. Add in cooked pasta and sautee

  6. Add salt and pepper to taste

  7. Enjoy with some freshly grated cheese!
