Restaurant Review: Robke's Country Inn, Northport, New York

Welcome to our first of many restaurant reviews! This week, We experienced Robke’s Country Inn, an established Italian restaurant location in Northport, New York. Established in 1961, this place is perfect for anyone whether you’re a vegan, pescatarian, or a carnivore. They are open 365 days a year for lunch and dinner, and we promise that every day is as crowded as the next. Keep in mind, this place is always popping so you will probably have to wait for a table, but it is definitely worth the wait.

We started off the night with a bottle of Pinot Grigio. And yes, us two girls finished the bottle with a three course meal. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was lively, making our night even better.

Next up was the appetizers. We shared the Artichoke Oreganata, Shrimp Cocktail, and Roasted Eggplant which were all so simple yet so flavorful. We are not typically artichoke fans, however we could not stop eating this dish. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The shrimp cocktail was an interesting twist on the typical shrimp cocktail because they were fried. We highly recommend this dish, or adding their shrimp to your salad or pasta because they are amazing. Robke’s shrimp is definitely one of our favorite items on the menu.

Our second course was the pasta! You cannot go to Robke’s without trying out one of their delicious pasta dishes. We shared the Lobster Ravioli, which was a special of the day, and the Linguine Chop Chop; both equally delicious. The Lobster Ravioli was in a mouth-watering tomato sauce mixed with shrimp, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes. The raviolis were so smooth , cheesy, and perfectly portioned with lobster. The Linguine Chop Chop was in a white clam sauce mixed with shrimp and a touch of tomato, and a perfectly al dente linguine. Please don’t ask us which we liked better because it is a hard tie. Their pasta specials are so uniquely delicious that you will want to come back for more.

Do you think we finished all of our meals and a piece of chocolate cake? Of course we did.. there is always room for dessert! This cake tastes as good as it looks. It was rich and not overly sweet, perfect for any chocolate lover. The milk shots were a great addition to end off the night.

Overall, we rate Robke’s 5/5 stars and recommend it to all our pescatarian and non-pescatarian followers.
